On the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the veterans affairs system of Nanchang City, with the aim of "doing practical things for the families of martyrs", carried out a concentrated visit and consolation activity for the families of martyrs, bringing care to each household of the families of martyrs. This year, 306 families of martyrs in the city have been visited and consoled , distributing over 300,000 yuan in consolation money. With solid measures, it paid tribute to the heroes and brought warmth to the families of martyrs.
In recent years, Nanchang City has adhered to the "respect" orientation, promoting the burial of martyrs and the care for their families in a coordinated manner, continuously deepening the service guarantee work for the families of martyrs, and further enhancing the brand of "Feel at home when soldiers arrive" for supporting the military. On the one hand, we will continue to promote the relocation of the remains of martyrs from other places to the Martyrs' Cemetery in Nanchang City, allowing their souls to be buried in their native land and receive centralized management and care as well as eternal remembrance by future generations. In February 2025, the Martyrs' Cemetery of Nanchang City was selected as one of the seventh batch of national martyrs' memorial facilities, injecting stronger impetus into the relocation and burial work. On the other hand, a regular visit and contact mechanism has been established. Staff members of the city's veteran affairs system regularly visit the families of martyrs, listen to their demands and respond to their concerns, making daily care more practical and detailed.
